Description

Nelson’s Dockyard National Park is remarkably rich in history and natural treasures. Tours through the Dockyard are conducted daily; there are also several nature trails and wonderful beaches to explore. The historic venues and the grounds of the National Park may be hired for private events and weddings. The Park also hosts some exciting land and sea based international
events that are not to be missed.

Nelson’s Dockyard is the heart of Antigua’s naval history and the home of its modern yachting community. Numerous forts and military posts including Shirley Heights, Fort Berkeley, Fort Charlotte, and Fort George are in the park. The Dow’s Hill Interpretation Centre gives visitors insights into the area’s history and its numerous hiking trails, shops, and restaurants provide visitors with plenty to do.
